Comunit Media has successfully acquired 60% of the share capital in CasinoKontanter.com Ltd. in an attempt to strengthen the business profile related to casino operations and the operating market of the iGaming industry in general.

With CasinoKontanter.com Comunit Media will be able to venture into the operating market without compromising the already promoted affiliate portals. CasinoKontanter.com will operate completely independent from the rest of the Comunit Media organization.

“Through CasinoKontanter.com we will strive to create a casino operator focused on the Danish market. The goal is to challenge the current Danish monopoly by emphasising the fact that casino.dk is owned by a Danish company, employees a Danish organization and is created with the purpose of simply giving the Danish player more value and better service” says Mikael Strunge, CEO of Comunit Media.

To achieve this goal an aggressive marketing strategy is needed.

“We will strive to reach the average Danish consumer to ensure that he or she knows that there are attractive alternatives to the Danish monopoly. We will focus heavily on the fact that we offer better payouts in a highly secure gaming environment. To achieve this goal we will create a large scale campaign that could involve TV ads, radio spots and other mass media communication measures” says Erik Smith, CEO of CasinoKontanter.com.

The final transfer of the shares will be completed by May 2008.
